Akanksha Puri was born in Indore, Madya Pradesh, Akanksha father is an ACP while Akanksha mother is an astrologer. She started her earlier education at a school in their village and then went to Carnal Convent School in Bhopal. After completing her higher-secondary education she is admitted to Devi Ahilya University, Indore in terms of completing her further education.

Akanksha, a former contestant on Bigg Boss OTT 2, has been candid about her past relationships, particularly those with Siddharth Shukla and Paras Chhabra. Her recent eviction from the show due to fewer audience votes prompted her to open up about these associations. 

Regarding her bond with Siddharth Shukla, Akanksha mentioned that their decision to part ways was mutual and amicable. Despite the breakup, they maintained a positive friendship that endured till the end. According to her, they never harbored any animosity and remained good friends.

In 2010, Akanksha Puri ventured into modelling, gracing print campaigns for various ethnic wear and jewellery brands. Her presence extended to television screens through prominent appearances in commercials for well-established brands. 

On her Instagram platform, Akanksha actively promotes an array of products, ranging from food and cosmetics to clothing lines such as Sunfeast Dark Fantasy, mCaffeine, and Naari Collection. 

Her television journey commenced in 2015 with a minor yet notable role in an episode of the Indian police procedural series CID, aired on Sony Entertainment Television. 

However, her breakthrough came with the portrayal of Goddess Parvati in the 2017 Hindi series ‘Vighnaharta Ganesha,’ broadcast on the same network. 

In 2020, Akanksha bid adieu to the show. Adding to her TV appearances, she made cameo appearances on Season 13 and Season 15 of Colours TV’s reality competition series ‘Bigg Boss.’

Early Life

Growing up, Akanksha was a vibrant and spirited child, finding joy in tennis and basketball competitions. Her educational journey led her to Carmel Convent School in Bhopal. 

Upon completing college, Puri commenced her professional journey as part of the international cabin crew at Kingfisher Airlines. During her tenure as a cabin crew member, Puri delved into the world of modeling, seizing various opportunities in the field. 

It was during this time that Studio Green noticed her, paving the way for her entry into the film industry. Her debut came in the 2013 Tamil action comedy, ‘Alex Pandian’, marking the commencement of her cinematic journey.

Akanksha expressed her disappointment over her premature exit from Bigg Boss OTT 2, feeling disheartened that her journey lasted only two weeks. She voiced frustration over the show’s portrayal of her, particularly regarding her interaction with model Jad Hadid, which became a significant focus. 

The actress highlighted her initial popularity among the audience, ranking third upon entering the house based on viewers’ votes. However, she felt judged for not conversing in the local dialect and speaking predominantly in English, which the judges deemed “too perfect.” 

Regarding the controversial kiss with Jad Hadid, Puri clarified that it was a task that her team would lose points for if she didn’t comply. She acknowledged that Jad became overly involved during the kiss, criticizing her technique despite it being a task. 

She defended her professional approach, citing instances in her previous work where intimate scenes were portrayed, noting her parents’ understanding of her professionalism.
