D. Srinivasan, an attorney and an activist for Indian independence, and his wife Rajalakshmi were the ones who welcomed S. Charuhasan into their home on January 5, 1931. He was the oldest child in the family and was 23 years older than his younger brother, Kamal Haasan.
After an accident, Charu Hasan missed his first few years in school, unlike others of his age. He did his basic schooling with a private tutor. He went straight to fifth grade when he was nine years old. Charu Hasan graduated from Belgaum’s Raja Lakhamgouda Law College in 1951.
Law was Charuhasan’s profession from 1951 until 1981. There were a number of high-profile cases in which Charuhasan represented.
Charu Hasan has loved movies since childhood. He watched two foreign films every single day in the late 1940s. As Kamal Hasan was just beginning his career as an actor, Charu Hasan was there to provide him with care and support. In 1979, Mahendran directed Charu Hasan in Uthiripookkal, based on a Pudhumaipithan short story.
Thalapathi, Tabarana Kathe, and Vedham Pudhithu are his best breaks. Since then, he has made appearances in more than 120 films, the majority of which are supporting or negative roles. He also directed the films Puthiya Sangamam and IPC 215, among other things.
