Parineeti Chopra is a well-known Indian Bollywood actor who made her acting debut in Maneesh Sharma’s movie Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl as a supporting character. She won National and Filmfare for the film. After Ishq-zaade, Parineeti Chopra appeared in Shudh Desi Romance. Besides working with companies like Nivea, Maaza, Kurkure, Wechat, Pantene, Spinz, and Mahindra, she has ties to a plethora of other major brands.

Career

Her music and acting career: After returning to India after the 2009 economic crisis, Parineeti Chopra began her Bollywood career. She returned to Yash Raj Film Production as a PR consultant. Later, the company offered her an acting contract.

She debuted in 2011’s box office hit ‘Ladies versus Ricky Bahl’, starring Ranveer Singh. For her next film, ‘Ishaqzaade,’ (2012), she played Zoya and was lauded and successful. Starting in January, she performed back-to-back till 2014. ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ and ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ were her 2013 and 2014 films, respectively. Filmfare awarded her Best Female Debut for Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl. For other films, she won a few more until 2014. 

She earned a National Film Award Special Mention for her Zoya performance. Chopra portrays Hyderabad-based working-class saleswoman Gulrez “Gullu” Qadir in the 2014 dowry-themed social comedy Daawat-e-Ishq opposite Aditya Roy Kapur and Anupam Kher. Chopra’s film received mixed reviews, despite his praise. Chopra’s next bold performance came in 2014’s criminal drama Kill Dil, alongside Govinda, Ranveer Singh, and Ali Zafar. Daawat-e-Ishq and Kill Dil disappointed fans and Chopra’s career.

Following that, Chopra took a vacation from work and only appeared briefly as a doctor in the Man’s World YouTube series and as Muskaan Raza Qureshi in Dishoom’s “Jaaneman Aah.”

In 2017, Chopra debuted in playback singing with Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin and received praise. For Kesari 2019, Chopra sang Teri Mitti as a woman. She sang “Matlabi Yariyan” acoustically in 2021.

Saina Nehwal Scandal
